Bangkok, Thailand, December 20, 2023 - Delta Electronics Thailand PCL., a leading provider of power and thermal management solutions, is thrilled to announce that Delta's Smart Farm, with an integrated renewable energy solution, was honored with the esteemed Thailand Energy Awards 2023 by the Ministry of Energy. Mr. Jackie Chang, President of Delta Electronics Thailand, received the award on behalf of the company at the award ceremony held at the Rama Garden Hotel, Bangkok.
Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert, the Permanent Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Energy, presented the Thailand Energy Awards 2023 in the Innovation in Alternative Energy category to Delta in recognition of its outstanding Smart Farm with renewable energy project. The project, a collaborative effort between Delta Thailand, BOI, IEAT, and Phraksa Municipal, is dedicated to the Ngopa Paradise Community Enterprise. Delta's Smart Farm employs cutting-edge technologies, including the Delta Automation solution featuring VTSCADA facility management software and Delta's PLC controller system, to ensure precision control of agricultural conditions. This enhances farming efficiency, energy savings and crop productivity.
Delta's Smart Farm has an integrated 5.4 kWp renewable energy solution consisting of Delta's Solar Inverter and Solar Monitoring system. This solution not only provides clean and sustainable energy to the facility but has resulted in significant environmental benefits. The implementation has led to outstanding annual savings of up to 7,800 kWh (7.8 MWh) and the avoidance of approximately 4 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

The Thailand Energy Awards serve as a platform to celebrate and showcase exceptional achievements in the energy sector, promoting advancements in alternative and renewable energy solutions. This is the eighth year for Delta to win the prestigious from the Ministry of Energy. Previously, Delta has received Thailand Energy Awards in 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
As a sustainability-focused and global corporate citizen, Delta leverages its core competencies in power management to develop and promote energy-efficient and sustainable operations. From 2006 to 2022, Delta established 32 green buildings and 2 certified green data centers around the world, including two green factories in Thailand with LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
