Melbourne, Australia, September 17-18, 2019– Delta Electronics (Australia) Pty Ltd showcased its portfolio of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions alongside traffic monitoring and road monitoring solutions by Vivotek, a Delta Group company, at the National Roads & Traffic Expo 2019. Delta joined the event, held at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, to highlight how its DC Wallbox 25kW compact quick charger and AC Mini Plus home charger support Australia’s drive for clean e-mobility.
At the Delta booth #805, Delta and Vivotek experts shared how adopting EV charging and traffic camera monitoring can offer convenient and clean transportation while improving safety and driving experience. “We have already had a healthy debate about the effects of EV on road network maintenance and how this impacts our weekend leisure. Now a key question in the mind of future EV users is: How do I best charge my EV? And where can I get it?” Mr. Matti Dinklemeyer, Delta Australia E-Mobility & Energy Storage Solutions Manager, said.
Visitors to the booth discovered how to charge EVs with Delta range of solutions that liberate EV owners and fleet operators from range anxiety. Product highlights: 7kW AC residential charger and 25kW entry-level DC charger for commercial or fleet applications. For peace of mind on the roads, Vivotek smart cameras monitor and relay information to traffic controllers and tollway operators to improve business security and assist in road traffic management.
Delta also hosted a roundtable discussion with Vivotek about traffic management solutions and CSIRO about smart EV charging. Panellists discussed how single-phase, low-power grid connection, existing wiring infrastructure or remote location scenarios can all benefit from smart solar boosted EV charging. For example, the joint Victorian Government-funded research project with Delta, CSIRO and Nissan Motors which deployed solar charging stations that can run independently from the grid.
By delivering green and smart energy solutions developed with global R&D and manufacturing, Delta drives transformation in Australia’s infrastructure landscape. Delta’s commitment to e-mobility and smart solutions for customers is underpinned by its brand promise: Smarter. Greener. Together.
