Since the inauguration of The Prime Minister's Industry Award in 1981 by the Thai Ministry of Industry, the award has become the hallmark of excellence for enterprises in Thailand. In 2012, the Ministry has once again put its emphasis of the award on encouraging creativity and commitment to the overall industrial development among enterprises while forging good relations between the enterprises and the Ministry of Industry. Winners of the award can expect to be accorded business development privileges.
This year the award comprises seven categories namely, Productivity, Environmental Quality Conservation, Safety Management, Quality Management, Energy Management, Small and Medium Industries Management and Logistics Management Awards. The best among these winners will be awarded the coveted Prime Minister's Best Industry Award. This award was initiated in 2003 for enterprises that have accomplished remarkable business achievements and also attaining at least three categories of the Prime Minister's Awards since 1993. In 2012, Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (DET) is therefore much honored to be awarded The Prime Minister's Best Industry Award. This is a testament to DET's continuous growth and contributions to the development of Thailand's electronics industry base on its guiding principles of Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Innovation, Team Work and Agility.
The award ceremony was held on 30 November 2012 at the Ceremony Hall in The Government House. H.E. Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, the Prime Minister of Thailand, presented the awards to the winners. DET was represented by Mr Henry Hsieh, President of Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited.
