Delta Thailand Holds Screening of the Country’s First 8K Documentary at CentralWorld to Promote Sustainability and Thai Culture

BANGKOK, Thailand, June 1, 2023- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL., a world-leading power and thermal management solutions producer, will promote sustainability and Thai culture by screening Thailand’s first 8K documentary. The “Exploring Sustainability Thorough 8K Technology” screening event will be at CentralWorld Shopping Center, Central Court Zone 1st Floor, from June 14-16. The three-day event will have the honor of opening with distinguished representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and VIP guests.

On June 14 Opening Day, VIPs from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand and TAT will join Thailand’s key industry leaders in the retail industry, event organizer, audiovisual equipment supplier and film industries to view the country’s first 8K documentary produced by Delta Thailand in partnership with the Thailand Entertainment Creators Network Association (TECNA). The groundbreaking 8K film will be shown with Delta’s world-class INSIGHT Laser 8K projector.

Digital Projection, a subsidiary of Delta Electronics, designed and manufactured the world's first 8K Digital Laser Projector which provides an ultra-high 8K resolution (7680 X 4320) through 25,000 to 37,000 ANSI lumens of solid-state laser-phosphor illumination. The flagship projector is the ultimate solution for the most elaborate medical, scientific and immersive visualization and large venue applications.

In addition to the INSIGHT Laser 8K Projector, visitors can learn more about the TITAN Laser WUXGA/4K-UHD Projector which is powerful class-leading 3-Chip DLP projector that delivers up to 47,000 (WUXGA) or up to 41,000 (4K-UHD) lumens from a compact chassis and sealed optical system.

In 2021, Delta launched the class INSIGHT Laser 8K projector to the Thailand market with a screening of “Water with Life”, an award-winning 8K environmental film produced by NHK Enterprises for the Delta Electronics Foundation, at Siam Paragon shopping center. In 2022, Thailand’s first 8K documentary “The Hues of Faith” was produced to offer global audiences a brilliant visual journey through the colorful history and culture of Northern Thailand.

In addition to the main feature, there will also be a screening of two 8K short documentaries “Life in the Coral Reefs” and the award-winning “Swimming with Humpback Whale” filmed by Japanese senior photographer Hiroyuki Nakagawasai and commissioned by the Delta Electronics Foundation to raise awareness of ocean conservation and biodiversity. Delta Thailand will also feature an artistic photography exhibit in 8K resolution by students of a local university with the theme: Sustainability in Thailand.

Besides the 8K attractions, guests and visitors can explore showcases of Delta’s 8K and 4K laser projectors and the company’s ESG actions in Thailand. There will also be live entertainment by a Northern Thailand musician troupe and a special performance by Nimb Kanoengphim, AF5.
