The solution leverages automation to improve efficiency, reduce labor and save water. It has a 5.4 kWp solar rooftop system that is used 100% for the Smart Farm operations. A Reverse Osmosis water treatment system enables wastewater reuse to cut down on total water usage. This water reuse system only has 10-20% water consumption compared with normal requirements. After installation and implementation, Delta Thailand’s expert engineers will support local businesses with training and customer service.

Delta worked with the Praeksa Municipality to select Ngopa Paradise Community Enterprise as a three-year pilot community enterprise for the first solution in the country. The project is expected to grow to a viable business model while improving quality and standardizing its agricultural products to eventually move up in the market.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, said, “Today we are excited to open our Delta’s first Smart Farm in Thailand and start a new chapter of innovation and cooperation for a sustainable society. We hope this project can start a new smart farming model that revolutionizes Thailand’s agricultural sector and benefits communities across the country. We look forward to working with the BOI, IEAT and our government and private sector partners to implement many more world-class solutions like this across the country.”

Delta Smart Farm

Delta has many years of experience developing Smart Farm solutions in Singapore to meet the demand for more efficient food production and better food security. In 2021, Delta launched a 12-meter containerized smart plant factory at the Punggol Digital District in Singapore. The container showcases Delta’s smart automation technologies, fans, thermal management solutions and LED lighting. Compared with traditional farming methods, the system consumes 5% less water and shortens growing time from 40-45 days to just 35 days with more consistent weight and quality.

In Thailand, Delta leverages automation and renewable energy solutions to support the development of community businesses and benefit society. Delta’s launch of the Smart Farming Solution in Thailand reflects its commitment to sustainable development in line with its brand promise: Smarter. Greener. Together.
