Delta Sponsors Seminar on Understanding the Impact of Earthquake in Thailand

May 30, 2014, Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited in collaboration with Toyota Motors (Thailand) Limited sponsored the seminar on Understanding the Impact of Earthquake in Thailand in Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai.

With regard to the numerous building and infrastructure damages in the recent earthquake on May 5, 2014 in Chiang Rai, the seminar aims to provide accurate information and practical knowledge relating to the construction of safer buildings during earthquake and how to be better prepared for earthquake. 1,600 participants from major universities, government agencies and local companies were present. The seminar was also recorded on video for future education.

As part of Delta’s CSR effort, Delta had invited a specialist on earthquake, Dr. Wei-Sen Li, Secretary General of National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction of Taiwan for experience sharing. Delta hopes this seminar can benefits Thais especially in the field of civil engineering, infrastructure design, disaster management and welfare of Thai citizens in affected areas.
