Delta India Launches First Green Factory in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand

RUDRAPUR, Uttarakhand, India, - announced its official launch of its first green factory at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand on August 28, 2008. As part of Delta’s expansion plans in India, the new eco-friendly factory reinforces Delta’s mission: “to provide innovative, clean and efficient energy solutions for a better tomorrow.” The grand opening ceremony featured speeches by honored guests, including Dr BS Bisht, Vice Chancellor of Pant Nagar University, Mr. Poldej Worachat, General Minister of Thai Embassy in New Delhi, Mr. Puo-Suz Shih, Acting Representative, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center, and Yancey Hai, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Delta Electronics, Inc. Delta’s new green factory in India is an important project for Delta.

It not only supports the corporate’s green mission, but it also presents a significant opportunity for our strong growth in India. Delta’s Rudrapur factory spans 16,657.48 square meters of manufacturing space and will manufacture products for power management, display solutions, components, industrial automation, automotive electronics and networking solutions. The factory has been designed and built using environmental conservation measures and it will provide a healthy and safe workplace for employees.
