Delta Hosts Ministry of Energy and Thai Companies to Promote Solar Energy for Green Factories

Samutprakarn, Thailand, November 26, 2019 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted a group of over 40 energy experts from Thai companies and members of the media led by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), from Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, to study Delta’s solar energy solutions and green headquarters in Bangpoo Industrial Estate.

The DEDE organized the visit to Delta as part of its “Solar to Social” campaign that promotes PV solar installations for clean and stable energy among private organizations. As a winner of four Thailand Energy Awards and 1st Runner Up for the ASEAN Energy Award 2019, Delta is a success model for the DEDE’s efforts to encourage sustainable energy use in Thailand’s industrial sector.

Mr. Pitisook Chitkasem, Delta Plant Administration Director, welcomed Mr.Suree Jaroonsak, Director of Solar Energy Development Bureau, and introduced the company’s businesses and positive impact on Thai society. He then presented Delta’s solar rooftop project and solutions, environmental contributions and renovation project that helped Delta win four Thailand Energy Awards and international green building certifications.

The Delta Energy Management Team then led the delegation to survey the key energy-saving and renewable energy solutions at Delta Thailand’s green headquarters:

• Solar Rooftop: Delta’s 3.2 MWp capacity solar rooftop system can generate up to 4,677,548 kWh in electricity per year for 100% internal use.
• HVAC System: Delta uses an energy efficient Magnetic Bearing Oil-Free Chiller in the HVAC room and nine sets of energy-saving Split Type Air Conditioners in its meeting rooms.
• Smart Energy Recycle System (SERS): Recycles energy generated in the burn-in process of finished electronics that used to go to waste.
