Bangkok, Thailand, July 22-24, 2019- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. supported the 7th Taiwan-Thailand Higher Education Forum (2019) in Bangkok, Thailand. The forum, jointly hosted by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) Thailand, included an event at the Amari Watergate Bangkok Hotel and a visit to Delta’s headquarters in Bangpoo Industrial Estate.
On the visit, Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, Delta Thailand President, welcomed the Taiwan-Thailand delegation to Delta. “Delta is happy to collaborate with excellent universities in both Taiwan and Thailand to foster engineering and software talents. As a global company, we can support with Delta automation labs in Thailand and international training and internship opportunities for Thai students.”
Delta production managers took the delegation to tour Delta’s smart manufacturing lines and data center. Visitors got a close-up look at how Delta leverages its automation products to improve performance and save both costs and energy. As Delta ramps up its smart production in Thailand, it is also expanding its recruitment channels and partners to attract more Thai automation engineers. The delegation also explored Delta’s portfolio of products and solutions supplied to top global brands at the company showroom.
In addition, Mr. Hsieh welcomed all the visitors to share their impressions and ideas from the visit in an extensive Q&A session. Professors from top universities in both Taiwan and Thailand shared their experiences in training and recruiting engineering talents from Thailand and other Asian countries. Everyone agreed for the need for transnational cooperation between companies, universities and governments to invest in a solid talent pipeline that benefits all stakeholders.
