Bangkok, Thailand, August 17, 2018 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. received the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2018 from the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry for its outstanding continual improvement in sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Mr. Yongyuth Pakdoungjan, Delta Human Resource Development Director, and Ms. Nannaphat Serithitivorachote, Delta HRD Manager, represented Delta to receive the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2018 at a ceremony held at the Royal Thai Army Club, Bangkok.
Delta’s ongoing CSR activities are part of its sustainable development strategy. This is the seventh consecutive year for Delta to win the award organized by the Department of Industrial Works under the Ministry of Industry. The award aims to foster social responsibility among Thai-based factory operators and encourage mutually beneficial ties between industry and the community.
In the past year, Delta’s CSR projects for factory employees and the community included the Delta Energy Education Program (DEEP), education grants for employees and their children, continuing education courses for employees, renovation of Samut Prakarn School, WHO World No Tobacco Day Activity, UN World Environment Day Initiative, Thai Red Cross blood donation drives and employee sports league sponsorship.
Delta considers human resources to be its greatest asset and continues to improve its CSR activities to respond best to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).
