Delta Holds Human Rights Seminar by Provincial Court

Samutprakarn, Thailand, January 9, 2018 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. held the “Human Rights in Business Process” training seminar at the company head office at Samutprakarn. Mr. Youngyut Pakdoungjan, Delta Human Resources Development Director welcomed and Mr. Sarawut Saowapab and Mr. Nitipat Satapanasut, judges of the Samutprakarn Provincial Court, with three delegates from the Samutprakarn Provincial Courts to teach the program to 40 Delta employees, in operations and administrative positions. 
                                                                                     
The aim of this seminar was to reinforce Delta employee’s knowledge of human rights and enhance ethical practice in daily operations and throughout the Delta value chain. During the seminar, trainers addressed key issues with participants such as why human rights are so important to a business and supply chain. Delta employees impressed the trainers with their actions to apply human rights knowledge, commitment to international standards and proactive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

Delta considers human resources to be its greatest asset and shows its commitment to employee wellbeing by complying with the International Labour Organization (ILO) international labor standards and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the UN’s and Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) guidelines. The company supports and encourages legal human rights training every year for all its employees. This year’s seminar builds on last year’s seminar entitled “Basic Jurisprudence for Daily Life” and taught by judges from the Samutprakarn Provincial Court.
