Delta Thailand attained Excellence in CG score and Top Quartile Companies

Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. Attained Excellence in Corporate Governance Score and Top Quartile Companies

October 26, 2016- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL has attained “Excellent” for Corporate Governance (CG) score and recognized as a Top Quartile Companies with market capitalization higher than 10,000 Million Baht. The score was officially reported on The Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) CG Report (CGR), with support from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).

Based on the assessment system of the National Committee on Corporate Governance, among 601 assessed companies, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. is one of 80 companies (13%) which scored 90 percent or above – corresponding to the “Excellent” recognition level; 195 companies (33%) had an average score ranging from 80 to 89 percent which are classified as “Very Good” ; 180 companies (30%) earned the “Good” level of recognition by having a score from 70 to 79 percent.

Each group attains a different level of recognition denoted by the number of National Corporate Governance Committee Logo, ranging from one to five, and none for those with lower than 50 in scores. The tables can be seen in attached images. Since 2012, the IOD also recognizes the Top Quartile Companies in each group which is classified by market capitalization. List of companies achieving good CG scoring will be highly publicized by SET and the IOD on relevant events and publications. Such publicity will help to enhance Delta’s brand value and visibility for potential investors. 

 The details of the CG scores can be found in IOD’s CGR (http://www.thai-iod.com) and the assessment categories include the rights of shareholders, equal treatment to shareholders, roles of stakeholders, information disclosure and transparency and the Board of Director’s competency. This achievement is a result of Delta Thailand’s unrelenting endeavor in delivering high values to our stakeholders through sustainable and ethical business practices in addition to transparency and active leadership role from the board of directors that is consistent with investors’ expectation
