The Prime Minister's Business Enterprise Award is an annual event established since 1992 by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of Royal Thai Government in order to recognize highest standards of goods and services from Thailand to the global market. It also aims to encourage entrepreneurs to be more committed in developing business performances that are of highest quality standards. Importers and buyers from abroad can, thus, will be convinced in these award-winning entrepreneurs. Through this award, the winners’ corporate images will be recognized as outstanding contributors to the country’s export and service sectors.
A total of 325 applications were submitted for the awards from which only 21 companies emerged as the winners. After a series of stringent selection processes, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL., (DET) manages to clinch the Best Exporter Award. The award ceremony was held on 18 September 2014, at the Queen Sirikit’s National Convention Center where H.E. Prayuth Chan-ocha, Prime Minister of Thailand, presented the awards to the winners. The winners were given the privilege to set up their booths to display the respective company's products. With the Thai government's constant effort to promote the competence of Thai exporters, DET's booth was very fortunate to have caught the attention of the Prime Minister. Delta power supplies and components mock-up have obtained much interest from the hosts who were also seen examining the products and listening attentively to the enthusiastic DET team explaining the products' many environmental friendly specifications and components sub-contracting which spreading out the income to various provinces of Thailand.
