Situation update for protest in Bangkok
As of today, the anti-government protesters are only present in Bangkok province like the Democracy Monument, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government House and the Parliament. The protesters are therefore far from Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL (DET) factories. DET factories in Samutprakarn and Chachoengsao provinces are situated more than 30Km away from the nearest affected area whereas Suvarnabhumi Airport is more than 27Km from the nearest affected area.
All operations at the seaports and airports including Suvarnabhumi Airport are not affected. All DET factories and businesses including inbound and outbound shipments are also in operation as usual.
The management team is sparing no effort in taking proactive measures with the company’s proven contingency plan. Therefore, we would like to assure you that all our business operations including material supplies, manufacturing and logistical processes are fully prepared and equipped to deal with any possible disruptions from the event.
Delta is continuing to monitor the situation very closely. We will provide you with timely update on any significant changes. Thank you for your attention and understanding.
