Samutprakarn, Thailand, February 23, 2021- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted a Thailand Energy Awards (TEA) Board delegation from the DEDE (Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency) under Thailand’s Ministry of Energy for an onsite assessment of Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, Former Delta Thailand President, as a candidate for the Executive of Designated Factory award category.
Delta Thailand is under assessment for two categories of the 2020 Thailand Energy Award, which has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Thailand. As part of the selection process, the Thailand Energy Awards Board to learn more about Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen’s work and his role in driving energy saving at Delta and conduct an on-site survey of its green factory and headquarters in Bangpoo Industrial Estate.
Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, welcomed, Mr. Theerawat Sarintu, Chairman of the TEA Board. “I would also like to thank Mr. Hsieh for his contribution to our energy conservation journey and his support for Delta’s participation in the TEA program. Delta Thailand has set and achieved our ambitious target to reduce our energy intensity by 30% from 2015 to 2020. In fact, we did not only reach the target but also exceeding it by 5%.”
