Delta Electronics Wins Best Sustainability Award and THSI Award at SET Sustainability Awards 2019

Bangkok, Thailand, November 15, 2019 – Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. received the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Best Sustainability Excellence Award and the Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) 2019 Award at the SET Sustainability Awards 2019. Dr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai, President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand, presented the Best Sustainability Excellence Award to Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, Delta Electronics Thailand President, at the annual awards ceremony event held at the SET Conference Hall.

“Delta is excited to win the highest SET sustainability award this year which recognizes our success in building a sustainable business and adding value for our stakeholders. We are investing in innovation for the future and commit to solutions that support Thailand’s smart city transformation and value-based economy development,” Mr. Hsieh said at the ceremony. This year Delta’s Best Sustainability Excellence Award is one rank above its 2018 Outstanding Sustainability Award and two ranks above its 2017 Rising Star Award.

This year is in the fifth consecutive year for Delta to join the SET Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) List. Delta is among 98 SET-listed companies with outstanding performance on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects to enter the 2019 Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) List. This is up from the 51 companies listed in the inaugural 2015 THSI List.

The Sustainability Awards selection process leverages the SET’s sustainability assessment system to provide a reliable reference for investors seeking long-term returns from companies with strong Sustainable Development (SD) practices. The THSI list is based on sustainable assessment questionnaires in 19 categories covering ESG dimensions. Companies on the THSI List must score over 50% on the assessments in each dimension's qualification criteria.

Delta’s focus on energy-efficient innovation to address global megatrends, action for the environment and dedication to sound corporate governance help it deliver on its brand promise: Smarter. Greener. Together.
