Delta Unveils Green Meeting Guide on UN World Environment Day 2018

Samutprakarn, Thailand, June 5, 2018 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. announced its Green Meeting Initiative to employees on the United Nations (UN) June 5 World Environment Day. Since 1974, the World Environment Day serves as a global platform to encourage worldwide awareness and action for protecting the environment. This year people around the world strive to change their everyday lives to reduce plastic pollution for the 2018 theme- “Beat Plastic Pollution”.

Delta’s Sustainable Development (SD) Team announced the non-compulsory Delta Eco-Friendly Meeting Guideline to minimize the environmental impact of company meetings. The guideline gives recommendations for event hosts and participants in the areas of accommodation and transportation; food and drinks; conference venues and facilities; and support for local communities. As a global citizen, Delta commits to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) including climate action (SDG13) and responsible consumption and production (SDG12). The company aligns the UNSDGS with its policies to reduce waste, CO2 emissions and excess energy usage across its business. The Delta Eco-friendly Meeting Initiative is another important step in the company’s ongoing sustainability journey and part of its vision for a greener future for Thailand.
