Delta Electronics (Thailand) Scores Among Top 7 Thai Companies on CDP List in First Submission
Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL., in its relentless endeavor to pursue a sustainable business model, has submitted its disclosure on climate change related questionnaire to CDP for the first time in 2016.

CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, is the only global disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts and for investors or purchasers to access environmental information for use in financial decisions. The questionnaire in the disclosure system is designed to guide participants to achieve an effective organizational plan in mitigating the impact of climate change.

In Delta’s first submission for climate change related questionnaire, the company has scored an impressive score of B. This is largely due to its already existing operation plan and strategy centered around Sustainability Development. In 2016, more than 5,600 companies globally had participated in the disclosure program. Among them are 16 Thai companies which had participated in the Climate Change category. Only seven of the Thai companies, including Delta, had scored A and B while the rest scored C and D or were unable to fulfill the requirements of the program. Nevertheless, Delta will use the result as motivation to set higher standards for continuous improvement in the company’s strategy and operations.
