Delta and TAI Organized Seminar for Automotive Part Manufacturers To Promote Industry 4.0 and EV Industry
Mr. Vichai Jirathiyut, President of Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) together with Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, President of Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL presided over the opening of the automotive seminar “Future Industrial Transformation for Efficient Automotive Parts Production”. The event was held in Delta Electronics’ head office which was attended by more than 100 automotive part manufacturers. The event’s objective is to discuss key directions to develop technological and manufacturing capabilities for Thailand’s automotive part manufacturers in order to transform Thailand into a state of the art, efficient and cost effective production base for EV or modern vehicles. In addition, plans are already in process to open an EV charging station and EV Technology Learning Center at TAI’s Bangpoo office around middle of 2017.

This seminar is a part of the “Innovation and Technology Learning Center for EV Industry Development” project supported by the Ministry of Industry. The project aims to uplift Thailand’s automotive industry, a major economic driver in Thailand, to achieve greater energy savings and productivity with automation and the adoption of IoT which form the essence of Thailand’s Industry 4.0 ambition known as Thailand 4.0.
